Beautiful work on both. I like your second one. I'll be venturing into more interesting shapes very shortly but I need to get the hang of the paths tool a bit more first so it'll be variations on my plait panel for a while I think.

Y'all are doing some nice work with knots. AnMal's looks like a moldy pretzel. :hehe

Have you tried out the Knotter app, yet?

Mouldy pretzel? :rofl I'm quite fond of AnMal's mouldy pretzel!

I've tried knotter and a couple of others. They are great programs but there is something more satisfying about DIY knots besides which I don't know if knotter will ever be capable of some of the more complex knots I intend to learn. It's a really really fun program for when you don't want to work too hard though. :hehe

AnMal has done a tutorial for two simple knots you can start with.

Nice knot Erisian. Good to see you using them in your signature and avatar as well.
I still cant work knotter out to get a good knot. I might need to look at that tutorial of Anmal's

I'm going to try writing a tutorial myself. The main difficulty is learning to use the paths tool - the knot itself is often easier than it looks. For example, in my plait panel you only have to learn to make three pieces; one corner, one edge and one middle piece, the rest is done with duplicating, rotating and moving. Also, you only have to do one quarter of the plait then duplicate it and rotate it to get the other three quarters.
