So here's an interesting mistake, I was intentionally putting a glitter effect over an image when I inadvertently left the bump map layer on, Liked the idea so played with it quickly.

The effect is meant to be that point at which you have covered you're object in glitter and just before you have shaken off the excess.

I have included the xcf file for you all to browse.

he4rty: oh that's so cool! looks just like when me and the users make birthday cards at work :). like you say, the moment before you shake off the excess glitter. very nice effect, and it didn't look hard to achieve either, thanks for sharing!

How did you create this effect, did you use G'Mic?

Why don't you make a tutorial on this?

Thanks for the comments, I posted the xcf file in the first post with rough descriptions for the layer names of how the effect was obtained, if you don't think this is clear enough then I will add it to my list of tutorials I would like to make. I'm not going to make any promises to this being made as I find I have to be in the right mood for tutorial writing.
