Combining the recent satin binge with my current Flame Painter binge (now that making seamless textures with it is child's play), I created this texture by blending my G'MIC Stitch preset to it. Thought I would share it here. Click on the image for it's Deviant (ssp) and link to higher rez. :)

wow that Nylon sheen looks very authentic - cool lyle !
i didnt pay much attention to how you actually made it, but could this be made as a text filling ?

Don't see any reason why not Esper. The settings used (I actually created a preset that I call stitch so had to remember the actual G'MIC preset used; lol) was modified from that shown below. :)

lylejk: really cool! i'd never have guessed the hard sketch filter was involved in that, i suppose i need to play with the settings a bit more when i use g'mic.

Thanks AnMal; I didn increase the Density (closer stitches) for the nython effect that I achieved. Play with the sliders until happy; the settings shown are the defaults which I rarely actually use. lol
