Thanks Warrior, I really like enviro-maps.
I want to make a few too, but I'd like to try shifting the light around a little.

Hey Tux, or anyone else that may have this E-Map I'm looking for. I moved lots of data from my old machine to the new one and can't find it anywhere.

Looks more like a design that's been overlayed onto a blue logo.

I believe I got that result by using a multicolored gradient to generate an environment map, which I then used, along with a bump map, in GIMP's Lighting Effects filter (could also use the EnviroLogo script) . After that, I overlaid the "Neurons" pattern using layer modes. I can't remember all the steps, but it looks like I might have used G'MIC's Relief Light on that one, as a last step.

@Tux, Thanks for posting a reply.

@ Carlos, I was able to find the pattern after all and thanks for posting the pattern.

@Warrior, I like your results with that pattern. What did you do to change the color of the pattern like you have it?

You can just overlay that pattern using one of the layer modes that produces the best result. I normally shift the hue/brightness/contrast/saturation and/or color balance to get the colors the way I want. Sometimes, I use the color curves dialog.

This one was initially created with the EnviroLogo Script, then overlaid with the pattern & tweaked.

Can't remember which one it was, as I didn't save the xcf, but it was just one of the layer modes.

It's just that the pattern is more of a "blue & white". Oh well...
I like the colors very much. Maybe you can reproduce the color change some time soon.

But blue and white over gold, set to a different mode, produces a different color. Many of the "green" logo's I've been making, are actually blue over gold.

Yes I see, that makes sense. I'll have to try that out. :bigthup

Thanks Issabella. Those maps produce some cool textures with the BRL script. I did have to autocrop them first, though. They had a bit too much transparency around the edges.

Issabella - Thanks for the Maps

Another one....

Gradient - The initial gradient used, is called "Metallic Highlights" and was created by Esper.
Font - Flipside BRK

Additional G'mic dream smoothing was applied to final image.
