I have been working on a script to generate hexagonal grid paths. This, with the help of my shapes-path script, can lead to tilable patterns:

Hex grid script is still not completely fit for human consumption :)

Another meeting, another code tweak, another test, another pattern. In a mind-boggling evolution of my art, I used two colors.

I read this as "Lick here" for the texture. Needless to say my monitor is clean, and my coworkers have moved me to a special room and asked me to wear this really cool, white, sleeveless jacket! HAHA Nice texture, Lyle. I love blackberries!

Hypnotising! I can't see anything and if I look longer I will not see anything at all.

The trick is to keep your eyes parallel. If you can't do it on your computer display:
- print on paper at 100DPI (keep roughly the same size as on your screen)
- crop the paper to the picture (at least the top edge)
- hold the picture at arm's length, and look at something further away (3-4 metres, 10 yards) just above the upper edge.
- lift the image slowly.

A few days ago, a friend emailed me a cool site for free clip art. Used this image to create the seamless texture.

Took Patternshop (opensource) out for a play to create this texture.

Of course, I had a play with the texture as well.

As a SSP (shameless self promotion), you can click here for my Deviant where you can find all of my seamless textures. :)
