Here's a Gray color palette,
taken from the Benjamin Moore Paint Store.

The image below was obtained,
from the online Benjamin Moore Paint Store in the USA.
Which was used to create this GIMP Color Palette.

Below is a screenshot of the actual color palette.

If you want this color palette.
The GIMP color palette file can be download below.

The GIMP color palette file,
can be recognized by the file extension of .gpl.

It can be imported into GIMP.
By using the Palette Menu within GIMP,
or by directly placing the file into your GIMP User Palettes folder.

Enjoy! :pizza

To me, one of the most enjoyable things about digital imaging is collecting and making palettes and using them in various ways - as CLUTs, histogram transfers, lately Diego's color transfer script. Always enjoy being surprised at seeing something I know I could not have planned.

I often come across things by accident,
while searching the web.
This Benjamin Moore paint color palette,
is one such find.
The site had many paint color palettes.

Sorry,
but the link I posted to the Benjamin Moore paint website.
Had to be removed,
because the site was loaded with intrusive questionnaires and shady advertising.

Wallace, if we have small pictures of each color such as the first one in post #9, how do we turn that into a palette?

From Wallace's swatch to sallyanne's circle. I took sallyanne's circle, made a PPM Gimpressionist brush of it. Applied it to one of my photos of a view from Afton Mountain in Central Virginia, and got a (pardon) reasonable digital pointalism outcome. Lightened with Irfanview's Auto Adjust Colors -- I haven't yet found a Gimp blip that I like as well. The full image is reduced here to desktop web browsing size. The detail of the blue building is at 100%.

It's not often I actually like what I do with digital imaging, but I do like this. So, Wallace, and sallyanne, thank you for your generosity.

I looked in the tutorial index,
for a tutorial on how to make a color palette,
but didn't find one.

Perhaps I should make a tutorial on this,
what do you think?

Wallace, I think a tutorial for making a palette would be very useful. I did something similar but that was long ago and I have not been able to find the instructions. When you have time, please do one. Thank you in advance

Checked that site out. I have them all as pallettes for gimp in my dropbox. Link is https://www.dropbox.com/sh/y855ri0pbrqx ... GmWYa?dl=0
I think the only ones I didn't do was black palles and white pallettes and of course the grey ;)

I wonder if people would have any use for a plug-in that reads samples from a possible grid (just sample center of grid) and you specify X-tiles and Y-tiles.
For example with this Benjamin Moore palette image, you just input 5 x 5 and it'll sample centers of grid-tiles and Create a Palette out of the samples.

Maybe.
Some of the palettes have numbers inside the color swatch itself.
Could this be a problem?
I'm sure that there's other color palettes that don't have numbers.
