One of the problems of uploading larger custom font files here on GC is the filesize limit of 6Mb (excuse me if I have said this before).
To get round this I have, in the past, uploaded part custom font files which the downloader has to open and fit together using Gimp's 'Open as Layers...' from the File menu.
I have a plug-in that will stitch custom font files, that live in the same folder, together. It works on Windows but I cannot test it with other operating systems. Before I commit to a new thread that contains larger custom font file resources, I wondered if someone with a different OS would give it a try and let me know if it works for them.
The custom font is over 15Mb uncompressed and over 8Mb when compressed:

It comes as two compressed files.
The first is a compressed folder containing the Custom Font File Stitcher plug-in, the custom font parent file and the above folder thumbnail image png.

The second compressed file contains the custom font child file - ie the one to be added to the parent file.

Download the two compressed files.
Create a folder on your machine - give it a suitable name - and extract the resources, copy the stitcher plug-in into your user plug-in folder and the custom font resources into the newly created folder.
Instructions for using Custom Font File Stitcher in the next post.
