This one looks better i think as i didn't use screen for a layer mode this time.
I used color to alpha instead.made the eyes look much better.

bah! Tried .. displacement map, iwarp, warp, curve bend ...

color to alpha the white around the bottle
color to alpha the white around the label
alpha to select the bottle layer
select the label layer
select > invert > delete
that cuts the label to fit the bottle.

I don't think you cheated! Although .. I want to know how you got around the end caps? Did you just use a transparent image?
