Not posting a brush, just asking if anyone has one to share. I want to make a pic that makes it look like a person is disintegrating and the shattered pieces are flying off. I have a tutorial but they use a splatter brush. It's ok, but I would rather have a brush that is more like shards/pieces of glass flying off rather than splats flying off. I have looked all over but haven't found one yet.

confetti looks too rounded, I was hoping to find one that looked like pieces of shattered glass spraying out, sharp and multi-shaped.

I had a search and couldn't find these either. It would be good if DA had a categorized resources index.

uh oh, that particle brush is a unix folder, I stashed it on desktop but don't know how to open it or put it into my gimp brush folder. Can I put the whole folder into the brush folder in 2.6 and 2.8?

Thanks Rich, I was able to grab that, although I have no idea how many brushes it is, it's not a zip file.

I tried the brushes...one problem is that since they are 'glass' they are not totally opaque, which is what I need. I want to find something like a splatter brush, fully opaque, with sharp shard sprays instead of roundish splat sprays. Looks like this is going to be quit a hunt! I could use splatter brushes, I just think it would look better if someones was shattering apart that the pieces would be sharp.

Can you not create a brush by painting with one of the existing brushes then using threshold on it?

the more transparent parts stay white while the grayer parts turn black. But it's a good idea so I will fiddle around with that!

Not sure if something like this will work for you. I just whipped it up. It is a random single shard hose. You might use it to create larger clumps.
