It is, but I have not yet published it, as I have to get a new zip file to upload to gimp script as they will not take 7zip there . I have to check all the spelling and wording of the change.log and readme.txt.

Hi Mike,

I've updated the gimpscripts.com submission form to accept 7zip files (with the .7z extension).

Thank you for the upgrade at gimp scripts.com. But now making me admit
my spelling and my way of explaining things are not very good. The last
time I submitted something there were a few misspelled words and I did not
like all the negative comments. But I will try to get my work checked soon
then I will upload.

You could always paste it here first and get nothing but positive helpful comments.

Hello Mikechat.
Do you know what changes should do to GURM to run on GNU/Linux?

I am not a Linux user, but as I understand it is just a matter of how the directories are listed
and I think if you just change the way the directories are listed in the gurm.ini I think it should work.

I had tried to do that with version 0.8 and got an error in python. I'll try again with this version and then I will comment about the error.

I have been working that, but as of this time it will not install new plugins, it will read, test and keep track of plugins at this
point.

That is a pretty good start.
Do resources need to be zipped, like scm files in order to work?

Maybe i'm missing some huge point here but what's the use of adding blender, inkscape, notepad++, etc. to the GURM?

Blender has very simple and effective way to manage addons, fonts, sounds, textures and so on, inkscape is pretty dull and not so much stuff to manage, notepad++ has it's own plugin manager....
And who would want to manage those things from/within GIMP session, anyway?

I am having trouble understanding the font gimppath,

you show in example gimpPath = C:\Program Files (x86)\gimp-2.8.5\bin\FontCacheDir

when in reality it is C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Temp\fontconfig\cache

The path you show is for Gimp-Painter, has this gurm only been tested on Gimp-Painter and is it intended for use with Gimp-Painter only

Graechan i always thought it was
C:\USER\user\.gimp-2.VERSION\fonts

Thanks Rod I was having a brain lock, when i saw he pointed to a cache folder it confused me with the fonts loaded from the windows default cache and that is the one I'd love to turn on/off in gurm, but I guess I'm stuck with them being there all the time. It's another nice plus for GimpPainter that it loads the gimp user fonts into a cache for faster loading
