Wallace--you had given me a shiney red emap (see attached) that I liked very much and used for the title fonts on one of my book covers. I was wondering, would you maybe have that in black that you would be willing to post for me to download? I have tried just colorizing the red one but it doesn't come out with the same pizzazz. If there is one already posted on this thread I apologize, but I have learned not to go scrolling through past posts on Gimpchat because if I do for some reason Gimp freezes me and doesn't let me back on for days.

Also, would you by any chance know of a good free app that would let me open your Warrior Splash?

Thank you.

I'm not quite sure what the Warrior Splash is or an app to open it?
Sorry but,
you may need to refresh my memory about this.
:puzzled

Below are a few black e-maps.
Which you can try out to see if any of them suit your needs.

The Zip folder contains 6 e-maps.
One of which,
was the red e-map you inquired about,
but in black.

Thank you so much, Wallace. I'm going to try each of them.

I'm sorry, the Warrior splash wasn't you, I got confused. It was from Warrior's post number 504, how to make a rainbow font (see below). But it won't let me open it without an app and I am leery of downloading an app I don't know anything about.

Can I make a suggestion for this site? So many times I log on and I see a fabulous image up on the top as the heading. Just now I saw the best gold letters I have ever seen. I would really like to try making some of this stuff that I see up there. Any way Gimpchat could put a little link somewhere to instructions to make what it posts up there? (Especially if they do it in a Make-It-For-Dummies Mode.)

Thanks again.

You'll need the program 7zip to be able to unpack the 7z folder.
You can search on the web for it, download the program and install it.
Once 7zip is installed.
Right-click on the 7z folder and select,
7zip>Extract files.

I think you're refering to the banners at the top of Gimp Chat's web page.

Here's a link to each banner,
that is currently in rotation.

banners2/

The downside to this link is,
that each banner is displayed by name as a link to the banner's image.
You'll need to click the banner's link to view it.

By the way...
you can also download the banner,
as it appears on the top of the webpage when you login to Gimp Chat.
By right-clicking on the banner being displayed and selecting Save image as.

Thanks again, Wallace. As ever, you are very helpful.

I didn't realize the banners had titles below them, that when clicked on led to instructions.

The banners themselves,
as displayed at the top of the webpage.
Do Not have "titles below them, that when clicked on led to instructions"
.

Wallace--thank you for your shiny black emap, I have used it for the text on my latest book cover. (Please don't think I'm self-promoting, book won't be for sale for quite a while.) I'd tried for a rainbow font, bombed out on that, but I actually like your shiny black better. Thanks again, was much appreciated.
