Very nice sallyanne...I love the royal blue you are using in the text. It jumps right out like 3-D for me.

Yeah I cheated Esper. You are correct.
Thanks Molly, I was hoping it would stand out from the background.
I too like Conbagui's version of a room as a banner. Give a very welcome feel.
I like the 'mother board/circuit board' K1TesseraEna

im always amazed how many variations if this style you come up with, Wallace, and each one looks great !

did you use the chained perspective effect on this one ?

Thanks Esper and a matter of fact yes, I did link the layers of the rectangular shapes and set them to a specific perspective.
It's odd how doing it this way didn't occur to me. I've never before needed to linked layers and wasn't sure how to do it.
And I consider myself an advanced Gimp user.
Gimp and learn, Gimp and learn... :hehe

Hay! Perhaps 'Linking Layers' would make a good 60 second tutorial for CRogers to demonstrate? Hint, hint...

Oh! Here's the 'Gimp Splash' screen that matches the banner or vice versa.
I named this splash screen 'Slide'.

Love the linked perspective results. That's a keeper and a tutorial would be awesome.

Thanks 2-tone. I wish I'd've linked the layers when creating the matching Gimp Splash screen image. I did that image the hard way. :hehe

Very nice Wallace, the only thing which annoys me about the perspective tool is that is doesn't seem to snap to guide lines.

You're probably right, but I'm not sure. I think the perspective tool does snap to guide lines. I really haven't noticed if this does happen when the perspective tool is used along with guide lines being present.

It will but it isn't very good at it in my opinion. It could use some more development for sure. :)

I thought so, but I think it's the little box at each corner of the perspective tool that tend to be what snaps to the guide line.

This my experience, the mouse pointer (or a keyboard nudge) is the ticket with snap to guides or grids.
You can adjust threshold, Preferences | Tool Options.
