With an average of 63K unique visitors per month, there appears to be lots of interest in GIMP. :gimp

Well, I don't see it as my forum. I just do some backend administrative work here. I am pleased that it provides a outlet for useful content and interaction, but the site & information actually belongs to GC members and the GIMP community at large. :bigthup

Well you are the one that started it and maintain it. Sure we all help to keep it going but I still think you deserve a lot of credit for giving us this great site.
I think of it as a growing family.

Very cool Tux, it's nice to see the stats. Is this consistency throughout the year normal?

Yes. The stats have been consistent since we peaked in Dec. 2013. We moved to this server during June, 2013 so the stats only calculate for a partial month of June.

Good numbers! :bigthup
I always post a link to GC with any of my uploaded Gimp youtube videos and I will continue to do so for as long as I can.

Same peak on GF on December 2013. What happened to Gimp in that time frame?

It's great to know that Gimp Chat is such a big board and there are so many people connected each day seeking help or just to have an idea of trends in art or creativity. But we can not forget that there is a very important part in the forum, besides the talent and professionalism, and this is the human quality of many people willing to help and spend your own time to transmit and teach other members in need. So many tutorials, videos, hints etc. That's the best in this forum.
Congratulations GnuTux, and all of you who help this forum is so wonderful. :) :gimp

From gimp.org:

GIMP 2.8.10 Released 2013-11-28

We just released GIMP 2.8.10 ! This is a release in the stable GIMP 2.8 series. This release fixes a bug that prevented older GIMP versions from running on OS X Mavericks. We also did some small adjustments to the Save/Export code in order to make things a bit easier. For the complete list of changes please see the NEWS file.

Searching here suggests 2.8.8 was released earlier that month.

Kevin
