I find that Gimpchat has recently been using bigger characters... I don't see such change on other sites, and the CSS seems to include "hard" font sizes. Is there a way to revert this?

I haven't noticed any changes in character size recently and as far as I know there haven't been any changes at Gimp Chat. In your browser try a Zoom reset or Zoom Out.

Has anyone tried to re-sequence their dynamic shift emitters,
to help re-stabilize the ventral quantum ports?

I have noticed the font type is slightly larger ofnuts (only in the posts), a few days ago. Probably about 1 point larger, I didn't mind though because it is easier for me to see ;)

Yes, that's just the posts, and the reply editor. The font in the posts also looks somewhat bold. The CSS style for the post body and the reply editor says font-size: 1.3em, so it's not my default size.
