Hello everyone.

We currently and have had no one for quite a while,
responsible for updating and maintaining the Gimp Chat Tutorial Index.

With your help.
I can attempt to make any updates,
that you guys bring to my attention.

If you created a tutorial and or would like it to be included into the index.
Please let me know about any additions you would like to see.

Please provide this information:

  • 1. Author's name.
  • 2. A link to the page, where the tutorial is located here on Gimp Chat.
  • 3. Name of the tutorial.

With this information I can attempt to update the tutorial index.

Also,
if anyone wishes to assist even further.
It would be a big help to Gimp Chat, as well as myself.
If I could find someone,
who would be willing to be responsible for maintaining the Gimp Chat Tutorial Index list.
I would be responsible for making the updates.
Whoever it is,
that wishes to volunteer their help/assistance.
Would be responsible for maintaining the index list, and for informing me when update should be added.

As it stands.
Odinbc use to update and maintain the index.
However,
for all intent and purpose.
Odinbc is no longer an active member or administrator of Gimp Chat.

Thanks

A good initiative Wallace. Something I noticed is there are posts in the tutorials section that are not tutorials.
For example 7 down is ' Toolbox is missing'. I guess people just got on with finding this toolbox and never noticed it had been posted as a tutorial.
A tedious job that needs admin privileges to move comments like this to the 'Gimp Help' subforum.
Is it worth doing?

Thanks and Yes Tas_mania,
I too have noticed the misplaced posts and they're pretty obvious as well.
It is worth doing,
it's just not near the top of the To Do List.

Greeting My Fellow Gimpers,

My intention with this thread,
is to inform everyone,
that I'm looking for what tutorials I can find,
which have been created here on Gimp Chat.
So as to include them into the tutorial index.
Are there any tutorials,
that have been created here on Gimp Chat,
that are not listed in the tutorial index?
If so, please direct me to them,
so I can update the index.

Thanks again,

Wallace, you either a wonderful person or a glutton for punishment or both. You have taken care of this forum by yourself with great care and expertise and now taking on more things to do. Thank you, so much for all that you are and do. I want to let you know how much I, and I am sure the others, all appreciate what you are doing for all of the Gimp Chatters!

Thanks Pat625.

I feel and think that it's my obligation to do such things.
For myself and for everyone who uses this site.
Also having the ability to do these things,
is an important part for me.
If I didn't do them,
I would feel as though I was doing some sort of injustices, or great wrong.
Either way.
I also have an enormous amount of gratitude to this site and can't just walk away.
I'll be her until my end or GC's end,
whichever come first.

I'd do it Wallace if I knew what exactly I would have to do.

I can imagine it probably needs serious updating. I didn't know Odin was gone. Sorry to hear that. I also have to say Wallace you have done an amazing job keeping the site maintained.

Hello Rod.
It's always good to hear from you.
Your input is enormously valuable to me.
Thanks for your words of confidence as well.
They're much appreciated. :bigthup
Odin leaving,
was a very disadvantageous occurrence for Gimp Chat.
However,
"life" on the internet goes on regardless.
One would think that the index would be in need of "serious" updating,
as you say.
Fortunately,
it wasn't as far behind,
as I first thought it would have been.
