 Post subject: How-To Avoid Error (404 Not Found) When Uploading Images

Location: Native to NYC living in Arizona, Gimp 2.8 & 2.10, Win 11 PC.
To avoid posting images that will cause a 404 Not Found error.
Associated with the image below.

Do not post images that contain these symbols below as part of the image file name.

If when posting your image to Gimp Chat,
you notice this 404 Not Found image error in your post.
Be sure to check that the file name does not contain one or more of the symbols above.

I also make a habit of creating file names for images that do not have spaces. I will add hyphens or underscores instead.

That's a good file naming practice,
which can also help to avoid errors when uploading files to the internet.

Although I haven't found this to be an issue here on Gimp Chat.
That isn't to say that this is the case elsewhere on the web.

Still it's a good practice,
that I must admit I don't always follow.

I believe Tux once stated that using spaces in image names could possibly cause errors loading them. It was quite a while ago though.
