From her nice idea to play with "Doodle".

Cool Dinasset. Maybe we will see you call it into one of your scripts/pythons? Or have you already?
BTW Doodle wasn't mine, I just found it in GMIC but thanks

Nice outcomes, Issabella.
This "filter" is a very simple play with doodle plus...
In this case with doodle plus hardsketch.
You may play also with other combinations, having always as first step doodle:
- doodle plus chalk-it-up
- doodle plus dream-smoothing
- doodle plus graphic-boost
- doodle plus polygonize-energy
- ...
and you will get interesting outcomes.
Try, and play also with layer modes (Ça va sans dire)

Thanks Diego for those suggestions to add. It really works and changes the look.
Applied to the Medieval Village:

After trying a photo without scaling it down and waiting for about 4 hours I stopped it. I then did a smaller 600 x 800 picture and it all happened in a minute. I didn't do any more modifications. This is the rough look.
Way to go Dinasset, I knew you would do it

Happy you got your nice outcome. Thanks for your appreciation.
It should have been very huge the initial picture you used, and G'mic is very sensible to the dimensions. Better to remain always around 2000 pixel width+height (something like 1200x800)

yes it was a 4288 x 3216 photo
Here I scaled it twice. - 50% then 75%. Then I ran the smooth setting. After merging the top two layers down to the doodle layer I then changed the layer mode to multiply.
Another with the rough setting
