GIMP-ML

Sun Nov 15, 2020 1:00 am

Did someone read about this one?
https://www.groundai.com/project/gimp-m ... -in-gimp/3
I'm sure someone did, but now the second question:
did someone make some experience of this one?

Of course, I would not know anything about it but the difference in the before and after pictures in the video look absolutely too good to be true!

I haven't heard of this until now,
but it sounds promising.

must try harder ;) wonder what is broken ?

Seriously big. Downloaded 1 GB in packages and the installation folder with the weights files runs to 1.5 GB

Silly me, weights folder in wrong place.

This is using a Mint 20 VM and I think a machine with much more power required. However does work (slowly)

Great, thanks Rich!
So, when you will have time, you may comment on the available functions.

Was this supposed to be an improvement? I think the "Before" is much better than the "Äfter". Am I missing something?

Nope, as with most things Gimp it is going to be in the eye of the beholder.

Interesting stuff. There's been a lot of discussion on AI application to image processing at DPR's retouch forum; cool that GIMP's joined the fray, now. Still, at over a Gigabyte, I don't believe I'll be playing anytime soon. lol
