I'm Back!

Hello everyone...I have returned from the almost dead..it has been a long while since I was here but I have been very ill this past year and still not out of the woods yet. Had a bad diagnosis in March last year and had many complications following surgery for bilateral breast cancer embracing 4 tumors and 3 different types of BC! Recently completed a severe course of chemotherapy and now doing radiation therapy...so almost there...thought I might have a good enough concentration span now to get back to Gimping for Mac. I feel like I have come home.

Looks like there have been a few changes since I was last here..I believe maybe April last year! whew! What a ride it has been!

So sorry to hear that news akky My wife is a cancer survivor also. It's been 2 years in the battle loosing one side. She just have the last implant surgery done bout a week ago and I can tell you that my wife is a stronger person than me. I congratulate you, my wife and so many women that are an inspiration for many husband like me. We learned that it take a lot of courage to go through what you have gone. Keep your head straight and strive for the goodness and kindness, no matter what comes. This is called "Faith". I thank God for all of you!

Pauline, I am very happy that you are back on the forum. You are showing how strong you are and I am sure you have the disease under control. Today, medicine has advanced a lot or more regarding cancer.
You know that you have in this forum all the love and support that will surely help you to carry out the process much better until you fully recover.

Thank you all for your thoughts care and support..its been rough but I was lucky in many ways. Had many days when I just wanted to lay down and die. It has taught me a lot and because the tumors were all very small I lost a fair amount of tissue but the female surgeon was able to remove the tumors and give me a reconstruction at the same time since I had plenty of good tissue left to do it. All on public health here..has not cost me a cracker in personal funds, even for post surgery things like chemo and radiation...how blessed am I! I need to get back to GIMPing though now...so here I am...relearning some things...oh dear me.
