Thanks a lot dear Ella, and yes, it was his big passion since he was a young boy. He attended a specific school far from our home to start learning flying soon.
Pity that you can't understand Italian, because I'm sure you would have appreciated the book, knowing how sensible you are.

How many did you buy? It's a usual thing over here to brag about something to pass it out everywhere...especially to relatives

Sorry, but I do not understand the real meaning of what you say. English is not my "native" language.
Are you inviting me to stop placing any info about the book of my son?
I posted the last info because I'm proud that important newpapers dedicate space (one full page...) to this book. La Stampa was not the only one.
It's nothing concerning Gimp, I know, but this thread is for topics outside Gimp.
About the question, the answer is two: one as a gift for the bithday of a dear friend of my wife and a second one for a dear family living close to us here in Tuscany.

Your answer was the one I was looking for.
I would never tell someone NOT to brag about their 'offsprings' achievements. You have much to and congratulations again. :clap

What a wonderful image, Ella, so sweet, so tender, like a friendly hug.
Thanks, thanks, thanks.
This is a special day, as you've seen: his birthday.

Thanks Wallace.
Also today an Italian newspaper (Il Tempo) has published an article about the book; it's the third one, after La Stampa and Repubblica. I'm very proud for that.

For those who understand Italian:

You are discovering her uniqueness.
Ella doesn't paint with the brain, but with her soul and her heart.
Also, she doesn't think only to herself.
Empathy is her richness.
Her contributions always enrich Gimpchat portfolio, I'm sure that all of us are proud to have her among us.

No, not at all, dinasset, I had already noticed that.

Diego - again, congratulations to you and your family for what has been a notable and valued achievement. Be proud.

Ella - what an exquisite image you have created, so sensitive, so meaningful in this context. To use a modified version of one of my favourite quotes "... c'est le meilleur de toutes les images possibles."

Diego, level and oldmangrumpy, thanks for your comments.

Diego, I think every contribution and every member is an enrichment for the forum.
Everyone in their own, personal way.
But it feels good that you're happy with my outcome.
