I have built a plug-in before that takes a tile and make it into a frame by mirroring and rotating.
But it wasn't interactive because you did a tile and then you won't see end result until after plug-in is ran.

So I have decided to redo this in Javascript so that it's more interactive. It's basic mouse drawing that lets you change color and brush-width. But it can be beautiful and fun.

You can configure the Tile to draw larger for more details and configure the frame with different options.

Here's the link to the tool: https://tinmantaken.blogspot.com/2023/09/hand-draw-frameborder-freehand.html

And here's a sample screenshot of one I did for fun.

Used tool to create this frame.
Then in GIMP changed color and made a duplicate of frame made it darker color and offset it a little to create depth/thickness.

Does some interesting things when you try to go over it with another colour.

What? How are you getting that? I just get color not XOR mode like that.

I painted white over black then continued painting white spots. I think the second time you paint over it uncovers the original instead of covering it. I didn't understand it myself!

No, I'm really not sure what it is doing.

Not sure how to recreate what you're experiencing.
I thought it was transparent colors but yours looks like it's a mixture of drawing modes.

I wonder. What browser are you using? I use Chrome.

It's a shame we can't upload more precise images that we have created in Gimp and have it display those as a border. Still, it's a whole lot of fun!

Another update:
When you right click on BorderTile I don't draw the custom_Cursor so that the Border Tile is clean for you to Save/Copy-As Image for possible reuse of Border Tiles.
