I'm passing out cigars because Beth, my dove laid two eggs. I guess it's time to start adding a room to the cage. I wonder if I can get worm flavored baby food?

hopefully find homes for them. They wouldn't survive on their own. It's either find homes for them or eat them....... ok, that's not an option.

haha, leave it to Lyle. I remember when my sister found a baby bird on the lawn...she dug for worms, chopped them up but was so grossed out that she started using the liver baby food to feed them, lol. I don't remember if they actually survived or not.

I found an injured young hawk that was trapped in a warehouse once, I chopped up mice for it for about 2 weeks then took her home to let her go. She, a wild hawk, sat on my shoulder the whole 40 mile drive and didn't want to leave when I held her up to lt her go. For the next 7 years I saw her now and then.

The animals eat, we do sometimes. I'm hoping to reduce the population. I didn't plan to have so many rats but we ended up with a lot of rescues, the pet store and then the local vet started calling us. If I say no then innocent domestics get killed, set free, which is terrible for them or they end up as snake food. I plan to give them a good life and die of old age. Then just have 3 or 4. The ferrets will live 10 - 12 years, so they'll be less of a problem because they'll outlive me.
