I'm curious to know what Irfanview's reply was?

That's nice.
You just plug it into the TV, right?

Yes :) I know I was told that. I have tried before and the images were not recognised. (Unless it is because I didn't click on the option (pictures) oops:
I still have to figure out how to get them to run automatically. Although I will say I didn't give it much time before pressing the forward arrow button on my control
Half way there now :)

sallyanne,

Glad you are on your way to success.
I think the only way to run them automatically (unless the television has that facility built in) is to convert them to a video.
I had a quick go with a few photographs (on my linux machine of course). You put the pictures in to a programme, arrange the order and the transitions, and then tell it to save.
It takes a long time and produces a very large file! I am sure one of the Windows programmes will do a very similar job.

david.

Thanks David. :) Mine must have the feature built in.

I tried them again and this time I didn't press the arrow button after starting it, and it kept going. All I need to do now is get it to go a little faster. Although my daughter may be able to fix that up if 10secs (Haven't timed it but seems a long time) a picture isn't too slow for her.
(No writing, just photos)

Also found out last night it will not show png's. Which is probably why I couldn't get it to recognise pictures before. I save most stuff from gimp as a png
