Ah got it you have to view by forum... and not active topics.
And so you have to drill down to forum, the search doesn't seem to allow by Views.

It's available in all the forum views. It wouldn't make much sense in the "Recent topics" view since this one is by definition the 20 most recent topics.

just another possibility: is it possible to
- sort by group (as you do already)
- sumup the views per group
- show only the totale (it would be just a couple of pages, I think)
like:
Gimp Art 30000
Gimp Scripts 35000
etc

@dinasett It can be made in your user control panel.
Under Board Preferences and Edit display options > 7th line down change to views
