I used to use DVD-Lab in Windows back in the day, yes it was good s/w. That was back when dvd was popular, not so much anymore. In the rare occasions that I need to author a dvd, I now just simply use DvdStyler in Linux for such things. It's surprisingly effective once you've figured out how to use it. These days I probably only author one or two dvd's a year anyway....

Yeah I remember when Blu-Ray first came out. I jumped on that right away and started authoring BDs. That too fizzled out. I rarely shoot video anymore, but was heavy into it 13 years ago. Most TVs can play video file from a thumbdrive and that pretty much killed it. Also video streaming helped kill BD.

Looking at Rod's screenshot above DAP = Dynamic Auto Painter which now seems to belong to Mediachance

https://www.mediachance.com/dap/ It costs $$$

Never use DAP but looking at the screenshots, gmic must be a good alternative.

Thanks, Rich.

Comparing the two, there's one big difference between DAP and Arcimbolder. I'll pay Arcimbolder's asking price. :^)

I was talking through my hat anyway: I don't have time to learn a New Thing.

But, oh my, how I do love to Collect stuff!

I should ask: "Please, does anyone have Arcimbolder v2 to share?"

When Arcimbolder first came out, it was indeed the bomb for me. When MediaChance purchased this gem to create DAP, I was already sold. lol

Lots of updates since the original DAP (now you do have transparent background ability for instance and with the most recent release, able to actually do found object mosaics). Cool that the original Arcimbolder presets still work in DAP (talk about backwards compatibility; lol). :)
