The Linux Foundation has collaborated with edX to offer an online "Introduction to Linux" course. The course is being offered for free (Linux Foundation courses are typically $1000-$2500) and will start on August 1st. It is expected to demand about 40 to 60 hours of study to complete, so it is not exactly a trivial undertaking, and upon successful completion you will be provided a certificate.
