Deleted Google Chrome By Mistake.

Okay, here's the deal. I deleted Google Chrome by mistake and I want it back. Problem is, when I download it, it is in a completely different language other than English. I can't find the official download. I'm currently using Internet Explorer as a last resort and I have pop ups & ads all over the place with this one. I need help in finding the official English version of Google Chrome please. Any help would be great.

I probably have viruses on my laptop which don't help. Like I said, any help would be great.

Molly, I tried it and I didn't get the English version. I got Chrome in another language.

https://www.google.com/chrome/browser/?platform=win

check at the bottom right corner of that page for a language.

Otherwise a good replacement is SRware Iron, same as Chrome but with the phone home removed. I use in linux, I suppose the Win version works.

You stated that you think you may have a virus. Before you download anything or perform any installations, I suggest running a virus scan of some sort first.

Google too clever for its own good

It can determine location and OS to give you what it thinks you need. However California last time I looked was US.

It is probably a Win region issue, as another alternative, the portable version.

Google sucks anyway, Ooops, just my opinion, IE is at the bottom of the ratings chart.

Wallace, I ran a Malaware Bytes scan and it found viruses and got rid of them. That still doesn't explain why I can't download Google Chrome in English.

is there anyway to block the ads that pop up on sites?

Yes, look for Adblock.

I installed Adblock plus 2.6.6. I hope that is the recent version.

I would give AdBlock Edge a look, it's a fork of the Adblock Plus without the 'acceptable ads' feature. Yes, the 'acceptable ads' feature can be disabled but I switched to AdBlock Edge when Adblock Plus started enabling this so called 'feature' by default. They may have changed that policy now, but I'll stick with AdBlock Edge.

I deleted Chrome all together. It was too much of a hassle.
