This is my first audio video I made I was for my neighbor next door. She was quite moved with it and she sent it to all her relatives in Greece.
Use you sound and stereo ear phones if you have them... hope you enjoy it.

Very nice video Molly even without sound. I didn't listen as have got other music on right now. I'll check it again later with earphones.
Music is very appropriate.

Not made a video in gimp yet. I did one once in 'movie maker' and uploaded it to You Tube.

Very nice, what program did you use? I have only used MovieMaker and iMovie, but would love to find an easier software.
Thank you 2-ton
I used imagination with Linux but I am sure it is also available in Windows and Mac

For Linux Imagination is a good one, very easy to use.
Have you tried, ffDiaporama?

Unfortunately, ffDiaporama crashes on my Win7 64Bit, so I never managed to create a video with it.
I personally use Ashampoo Slideshow Studio. The newest HD version is commercial, but you can download an older version (2013) and request a key online for free.

Get it here:
http://www.chip.de/downloads/Ashampoo-S ... 59358.html
(english language can be applied).

I made several slideshows with it and I am very satisfied. Easy to use, quick and nice.

See an example here:

This is a slideshow from a medieval market here in Germany. The title image is of course made with GIMP, I used a tutorial for it ;-)

I'll bring my headphones to the library tomorrow and have a look. I'm looking forward to seeing it.
