Works in two different browsers for me... Image is huge (32MB) and won't start displaying until at least 4MB have been read.

I think the clue is in the title, Ofnuts.
It's just a test in the Mojave desert, pic probably coloured to make it look a bit "Martian".

See http://www.nasa.gov/jpl/msl/pia19142/#.VPHHBjX1G1E for how it was really done (photo was stitched together from many shots taken by camera on robotic arm, moving the arm between shots).
