Hello, please to meet you all, my username is Lustful, Idk I was bored so I came up with this word lol. Anyways a very nice fellow here named "fluffybunny2" who I meet on the Gimp forums, he has been helping me with a picture and so he gave me the right tools to edit my picture; however, he responds to me that this place is better to ask questions and more professional users with this enhancement tool. Help me just explain that I have no idea if I could make a chat or not and if you all haven't noticed yet, I'm a scrub  so yeah. :tyspin

I was wondering if any of you could help edit my picture to not look weird but nicer. So here's my picture, be sure to tear every inch and criticize my scrub edition and I know it as, that is why I come towards you professional people to assist me with stepping my game up with the enhancement tool called Gimp. Thanks for reading and goodnight everybody!

Hi Lustful & Welcome to GC,

Use the attachment system to post your image. You'll find it just below the Submit button on the Full Editor screen.

Oh okay, thanks for the hospitality. Well I'm a scrub my apologies for that. Picture is uploaded now, be sure to critique, edit yourself if you want to, tips or whatever advice you can give to demonstrate. Thanks for the help and your time.

I would recommend making the rain fall at an angle, rather than straight down. This will avoid it being mistaken for an "old movie" effect. Also, perhaps add a few frames so that the motion is smoother.

Thank you, but it's not for me, it's for a friend since he loves Link and White with blood stains effects and such. Well, I just want any advice I can to improve the picture, whether it's color, angling, background creativity and so forth.

You mentioned the angled rain, I would like to view how you would set up the whole sequence of the rain towards the picture so I could mimic from there and learn something new then become a good editor instead of a scrub.

Yes, just start experimenting and you will come up with something great. Tons of tutorials to choose from.

Thank you very much for the advice. I still can't make the rain, could you demonstrate, please? I can't complete the angled rain, once again I'm a scrub. :tyspin

Go to Filters > Rain and use these settings Image

Then go to filters > Rain > playback and see how it looks. If you are satisied, Export As > Name.gif, then click ok, when the dialogue comes up make sure to click the animation box.

I slowed the rain down but changing the speed to 300 and changed the angle to 120.

Has it been updated to work with 2.10? Back in 2015 2.10 was not out

Ah, I see he has updated it to 2.10.14. The snowfall one, which should be similar to the rain one. But may still need a little change.
If not, here GIMP Animated Snowfall Script
Attachment:

Anyhow if you have the GMIC plugin there is a rainfall and snowfall one in there under degradations
