Yesterday in evening we were at the cottage. I was following birds eating the last seeds in the feeder. Suddenly I saw trough the window something coming from the forest. A bear! He came nearer and was about 20 meters (65 feet) from the house.

My camera was in the car. I coudn't fetch it. My friend took his camera and took some pictures. Only he was so excited that he forgot to check camera settings.

First we were totally broken but after a while began laughing. It is so typical. If you don't have your camera with you, it is sure you will see numerous exellent subjects as aliens landing in your backyard or a swan fighting a fox - and if you have your camera then the accu is empty.

Well, today we will drive to the town an buy a lottery ticket. We can't have such a bad luck in everything. :hehe

Oh my God! What an experience! You were at a dangerous risk, weren't you? Well, I hope you have a lot of luck in your lottery ticket. :)

The bear looks like Odin's avatar, maybe it was just Odin coming by to say hi.

You're close 2-ton, I didn't recognize it at first (without the bow tie), it's my buddy Boo-Boo. :rofl

Thank you dinasset and Issabella for editing those awful photos.

Issabella, it wasn't dangerous. Bears are as afraid of humans as humans are of them. If I had went out, he would have run away. As you can see he is looking at us trough the window.

Dinasset, honey could get him back, but I pass it. Our dog became hysteric after beeing out sniffing and barked half of the night.

Anyway he was on mother bears territory. She lives about 1 kilometer (0,6 miles) from here. She is furious. She gives you a warning by banging the trees when she thinks you are too near and it's better to go away.

Odinbc, thank you for your sympathy.

2-ton, pity he was in such a hurry. I could have invited him for a dinner :)
