i have been a proud godmother to little j for almost six years now and it's a bit nervous to see how she and the other kids around me got along with erisian. little j isn't exactly easily bought and she called erisian "stupid, yucky uncle brian!" when i was goingg to visit him first time two years back, but she has melted considerably since then
.
this friday we spent most of the day with little j, her brother and their mother and she even let erisian tickle her and chase her around the backyard. she was concerned about me and erisian not having any children, so she said we could have her fairy princess for a child. she painted the fairy princess at preschool and cut her out very roughly as a sort of paper doll and she loves it above anything right now. she quickly took back the offer of letting us have her, but decided we could borrow her for a week.
so for a week onwards me and erisian are the proud parents of fairy princess moonbeam, with express orders to treat her well, never ever cut her in half and definitely feed her candy on saturdays. yesterday we bought chocolate bars and marshmallows, took a picture of for little j:s benefit of moonbeam on top of a whole mountain of marshmallows with chocolate bars at the foot - and then we had a bit of a party ourselves, that's the advantage of paper doll parenting as opposed to real child parenting
.
i don't think the camera does little j:s painting justice, so i made my own true-to-detail gimp version of her instead - here she is, rough-cut edges and all! if some of you would like to take moonbeam for an adventure feel free, that would be fun to show little j afterwards.
