They just released this on youtube a few days ago. Well worth the watch. A few enduring people that will be familiar with you as well if you are a fan of Voyager as well as the Original Star Trek. Not embedding the video as a video here since, well, it's over 1.5 hours. If a network doesn't pick this up for television, they are idiots. :)

The "movie" was okay, but there was a lot of pretty obvious green-screen used.

Will watch it all after but I only saw from the little I did see was an old member of the original series.

EDIT: Wasn't bad. Never had a YouTube vid start on me where I stopped watching it.

Well, being stuck behind a dsl connection I cant say I enjoyed watching this online, but that is not the fault of the makers. Overall it was a great piece!

The MK-2 has been built. Should this be the next question?

Yes green...
Green-Screen, also known as Chroma key compositing, or chroma keying.
Is a special effects / post-production technique.
For compositing (layering) two images or video streams together based on color hues (chroma range).
The technique is used to remove a background from the subject of a photo or video.
It's used a lot in news-casting, motion picture and the video game industries.
Here's an example image below. I'm sure you've seen this technique before.
The color blue is also sometimes used instead of green.

You could just download the video from youtube. Check my thread below (note: used Vimeo for the tut, but the site works for youtube too) on how. I would create the mp4 link here, but it will change after a given time. :)
