Gene Wilder passed away earlier today. He's among the top of my actors list, no doubt. One of the first movies that I remember ever seeing was Willy Wonka and it's still among the top 10 movies on my list along with Blazing saddles. Anyway, God speed to your next destination, Gene; you will be missed.

I agree, Lyle. I love that many of us used his Willy Wonka image as a meme in sarcastic tones. He will be deeply missed. He's with his love, Gilda, now. May they both be at peace.

Wow; thanks for sharing that, Bob. Being admired by fans if great, but being admired by one's family is priceless. Had no idea he had Alzheimers. He obviously didn't want to be thought with sorry during his last days. I still remember when he suffered from cancer and survived and also how he broke down when his Gilda passed away. This guy definitely had a loving soul and will be missed.

I think it's safe to say that the childhood of multiple generations has been effected by him and others like him.
He will be missed. RIP.
