Thanks for the tour of your new PC.

In my opinion the more fans in a PC the better,
air flow in a computer is very important.

When I built my PC I installed 7 fans to ensure
that my 3 high capacity hard drives would not
become too heated during operation.

Good luck with the new unit.

Case Fans
Front: 120mm x2, or 140mm x1 (I mounted x2 120mm)
Top: 120mm x2
Rear: 120mm x1
Side: 120mm x2
Bottom: 120mm x1 (not mounted)
HDD Cage: 120mm x1
Heatsink/CPU Cooler: 92mm x2 (push-pull configuration)

Not counting the fan in the PSU,
there are a total of 10 cooling fans.

Thanks you guys.

I didn't go into any of the specs of the computer in the video.
I was showing the photos I took during the build,
with a little narration about what was in each photo.
The cpu I chose,
(due to budget constraints) is the Intel Core i5 6600K.

Not rich.
Got a few gift cards for Christmas that I used.
Saved every nickle and dime I could get my hands on.
Use the small earnings from sales of my art work on DeviantArt.
Made money creating a few logos for some clients of mine.
Amazon Prime gave me a $50 gift card,
along with free shipping.
Got most if not all the parts on sale.

The last computer I bought was an old refurbished Dell Optiplex 745.
I got for $200.

The new computer look really nice and has much more pep then the old Dell.

Don’t be afraid to start over. It’s a new chance to rebuild what you want.

:coolthup Wallace. You can build me a computer any time. I'm not game to mess with those things. I will only buy them made and am just about due for another I think.
Hope you get lots of use out of it. Shouldn't overheat with all them fans ;)

Thanks Sallyanne.

A few years ago,
I would have never thought that "I" could build a computer.
It's much easier then most people think.

I have nothing against anyone purchasing a pre-built computer.
I was one of those people too and almost always after the fact,
never seeming to be satisfied with what I purchased.

Pre-built systems have improved dramatically,
in only a very short time.
However,
the manufacture is always looking for ways to cut costs.
In the end... this is where the consumer suffers,
with inferior parts,
shoddy workmanship and hidden costs.

Often times than not,
people haven't the slightest clue what's inside their machine,
until it fails.
With the cost of repair,
being more than what the machine is worth.

Remember those emachines.
They were suppose to be "never obsolete".
Image
What a joke that was,
the joke was on everyone who purchased one.

:hehe Probably was for the people who got them. Never saw brand new ones before the one I use now. I never owned my very own computer. Always rented (about 3) and was lucky to have a couple second hand ones given to me.

It seems to me,
that it would be to our advantage.
To be grateful and appreciative for what we already have,
than to wish or what for things or situations which we do not have.

Building a P.C. was something I did years ago but now with shaky hands and failing eyesight it's out of the question, but I have a kind son who outlayed the money to purchase my new all-in-1 P.C. with a 23"" screen

Wow!
That sound terrific Graechan!
I'm excited for you!

When your All-in-one is ready,
would you show us a photo or two?

My eyesight isn't what it use to be.
To be honest,
that was partly the reason it took my nearly 4 hours to assemble my new machine.
I spent a lot of time looking for parts,
that were sitting right in front of me.

On 3 separate occasions,
I went looking for parts in the bedroom,
which were already on the assembly table all along.

I was taking pictures as well,
which also cut into the build time.

After a while,
I decided to stop taking pictures and concentrate on the build.

Fan controllers are a beast to install.
I've installed quite a few of them and it's always a wrestling match,
given all the wires involved.

I'm glad I was able to complete the build.
Within the few hours that it took me.

That's pretty cool!
I believe it's sporting a Core i5 of some variation,
along with a GPU as well.

Very Nice!
