Of course I took it from above; around 2.5 inches high. Just ate a slice with some mash potatoes. Fantastically delicious. I used Contadina sauce instead of ketchup since it makes a better and more flavorful glaze. Only thing I should have done prior to taking this shot was to drain the excess grease (which I did afterwards by the way). :)

Misspoke by the way; I actually used Catalina sauce (well salad dressing) for the glaze. :)

It is delicious, Greg. Also, I forgot to mention the secret ingredient: Can of Manwich Sandwich. :)

OK Adam; here goes.

2 to 2.5lbs hamburger, half bag of trinity mix (onions, celery and bell pepper) which costs $1 at Wal-Mart; in the frozen food section, 1 can of Manwich Sandwich, 1 cup of Oatmeal, 1 egg, and some seasoning (celery seed, Mrs. Dash, and salt) to taste. I first fry the veggies and herbs and at the end, I add the oatmeal and stir before turning off the fire. I then add the can of Manwich Sandwich to cool the blend down before adding the raw egg. I then add the raw hamburger and, with food gradeable gloves on, I blend everything thoroughly together and mold it into a loaf and add it to my drip draining meatloaf pan. While I was doing all the above, I preheated stove to 355ºF. I then put the loaf in the oven and bake for 45 minutes. I take it out of the oven and add the glaze (Cantalina sauce) and bake for an additional 15 minutes. I then let cool for 10 to 15 minutes before taking the loaf out of pan (if you take out too soon, it will disintegrate; personal experience. lol). Simple to do. I did use a very fatty burger this time ($1.98 at Winn-Dixie a few weeks back; took the burger out of the freezer Sunday and it had been defrosting for 2 days; a bit too firm still (should have waited yet another day) but I got it to a mold-able situation regardless. I like using Oatmeal over breadcrumbs since it really makes for a moist yet firm loaf (picture's worth a thousand words as you see for yourself).

Yes, 2-ton, the smell was fantastic. I ate another quarter loaf for dinner so I have half of the loaf left. Ate the second meal with macaroni and cheese. :)
