You can ignore; got a confirmation email to re-enable. I'm back. lolololol

Sphew; thought I was going to be locked out for good. Process appears to work, but where it says if you cannot log on to contact an administrator, you get no click to contact an admin so maybe that could be added to the error interface. :)

Seems Lyle was not able to reset the password, maybe he had lost it?
I let Firefox to save passwords for sites and forums, but I keep them also stored inside a safe.

Bit off topic, but yesterday I got a fraud call from London.
I have no idea how they are able to rent these big offices, and there's like dozens of men sitting by computers doing extortion frauds. Saw a documentary about it few weeks ago on telly. They try to lock your computer, and then extort money for "fixing" it.
Instantly recognized the foreign accent the guy had, he said something like: "Microsoft Support good morning, we have detected a problem in your windows machine".
I asked him how can I have windows problem in my Linux machine and laughed out loud.

Unfortunately, far too many people fall for these scams. Always be vigilant.

Scams everywhere. Off-Line backups just to be safe though...

I only mucked myself this time. Somehow, my VM lost all of its passwords and had to recover them from a very old backup VM (which I did). Also, I needed to change my password since bigfoot.com email forwarding service (was grandfathered to me for lifetime) is no longer's doing it, so in the process of all of this, I logged in once too many times with wrong PW. lol

Still, it did update the email address during the chaos and I got a confirm email to that extent, so now I can post once again. Way busy and un-inspired of late but will try. GIMP 2.10.20's been awesome so far (best of the 2.10 series imo). Still, I wish they would finally bite the bullet and give use 3.0.0. Hopefully by Christmas, barring Covid of course. Node editing would be nice too since that would mean I can make my own filters (programmer I'm not, but, due to a lot of experience in the past with programs like Simulink and Labview, I'm quite comfortable working with nodes). Have already done so using Mathmap (my Perspective/Droste edits use this preset often). :)

Get an unlisted phone number. I did, years ago. Never any scammers and similar morons calling anymore. :)

This can be a false sense of security, as they can be bought on the dark side of the web.

I had secret number almost 20 years, but nowadays many places require you to give phone number or you won't be able to use their service, buy their products etc. Too big hassle to change it, sending every place and friend again.
On the other hand...the boss wouldn't have it either yay!
Earlier I had similar attempts from Tunisia, didn't answer just added Tunisian area code to block list.
Not really a problem, just annoying. I'm more concerned about the old people who might not be aware and updated.

I may have jumped the gun on this one,
because I did take action and made some changes to Lyle's account.
I hope he contacts me about this,
because he will not be able to login to Gimp Chat,
if he doesn't.
