This will likely kill the Modeling and Photography industry. It won't be a good time for them because the Advertising agencies will use CGI for models and backgrounds.

But the neural nets need good pictures to be trained.

Lylejk, thanks for the pointout. Always nice to see what's going to be a mainstream blip in the not-too-distant. Glad to be alive now, but I wish I were about a half-century younger.

Not sure what the math is, but even computer generated "people" most likely have a doppelgänger somewhere on the planet of 7 plus billion.

I've experimented with neural networks and I think they are a waste of time ATM. Notice how there was no altered video renders from this process? They are still years away from that. So they are only producing still images that could easily be generated by graphics software like Gimp.

I am still waiting for the app that can record your dreams. Put a cap on, go to sleep, have a scary movie the next day. That I would like to see. https://edition.cnn.com/2018/04/04/heal ... index.html

Looks fun. I hate the newer online colourizing apps though. People use them to colour older black and white photos and they do NOT do a good job, not by themselves anyway. You have to work on the photos more afterwards. That's if the app doesn't completely ruin it.
