I noticed Saulgoode has been absent. His brilliant mind is being missed.

Thanks mahvin, I miss him too. When a member of this nice forum isn't active in time, I miss him/her, even more, when they have provided or taught us all so much art.
I wish he says hello again. :yes

Definitely miss the guy myself. If memory servers me correctly, he was the very first person that helped me do color autofills on white selections. Guy was a great coder for sure not to mention very helpful. Hope Saul does come by for a quick drive-by soon. :)

Yes, me too I miss Saulgoode.
One of my first "masters" for coding (I started using script-fu).
Great filters created by him.
Come back here SG !

I sent an email to Saulgoode.
Asking Saulgoode to stop by GC.
Hopefully it will be read and we'll see a response.

I'm disappointed.
:(
Unfortunately,
I'm guessing that the message will permanently fail.

Last seen around here in 2016 if you look at his profile.

Yes, I noticed how long ago it was. Just like PhotoComix. Here one day, gone the next. Like they disappeared in an instant. Ofnuts, if you decide one day that you're done with us, hopefully you'll post and tell us. The "not knowing" is hardest, because the variables are comparable to Schrödinger's Cat. I just hope for the best. Great minds, like yours, Rob's, and Saul's are appreciated more than you probably know. Like the title says: Where imagination meets innovation.

I did a ddg search and found the website below. He's not posted there since Nov. 2015 (so even longer than here). Believe it's him since he used the same avatar. :)

IIRC Saulgoode was very involved in Cartography and a Cartography forum, but I don't remember which one. Maybe one of you know and can check it out. I think that was his passion and most of the stuff he wrote was about Cartography.

Rob A is still around, although not active here on GC. I email him from time to time. He runs the Cartography website. The older I get, the more I appreciate people who contribute their time and effort to making our lives more interesting and entertaining. I've been using GIMP since it first came out and people ridiculed it saying it was worse than Windows Paint. Be sure to thank all of those whose scripts and plugins you use, including those who compile older ones or re-syntax deprecated ones. Perhaps we need to have an GIMP Appreciation Day for these men and women. A simple thank you goes a long way.
