Anomalous motion illusion, I'd be surprised if that was not made by Akiyoshi Kitaoka.
Try to spend few hours on the site without feeling dizzy lol.

G'mic/Rendering/Kitaoka Spin Illusion.

I think scintillating grid illusion is also somewhere in G'mic, but I can't find it right now.
Or it may be that I created it with some of the pattern filters by accident.

Nice hyper droste lyle, that would be great tunnel slide in a fun house. :hehe
I like the glasses too, much better than the basic spiral glasses.

I did mention last night although my internet obviously went off again before it posted, is that I found one and it showed as the default before I used any settings. Not sure where now but some of it is on one of my text effects.
However I did this last night using 2 GMIC filters - the one Nidhogg mentioned and logarithmic distortion

sallyanne, thank you for introducing logarithmic distortion :jumpclap I have not used it before.
A hint, you need to use specific colors to make the Kitaoka optical illusion to seem to be shifting.
That's why the filter default uses dark purple and green, blue and yellow also works.

Some one will figure it out. The one I made was same colours. I htink I did a chess board or grid first and a couple other filters after. I'll probably keep trying now until I get it again - maybe another day though now. :)

Playing with a script making coloured designs I came across an image that seemed to vibrate (or it might be my tired old eyes), reduced here to green and magenta

Hope you all are doing great. Still, have to hit the hay soon for day 2 of my 4 day work week. Hope you all have a great weekend. :)

OK; inspired by this article, I created the following wobble stone illusion (they call it bubble but to me it looks like stones). Can click here for texture reference. You may not see the wobble at first but it will show up if you stare for a bit (or drink a lot of booze; your choice). lol

:)
