I don't think anyone has access to upload the new ones.

hehehe...I like the sound of that but I am afraid they won't do it. You can double check with Wallace, I don't think Wallace even have access to add new banners.
I'd love to be able to add one I have one in mind right now.

Me too, I don't remember seeing one, because I would have block them all by blocking all that row > logodesc > table > tbody > tr > td, to be downloaded > thus not seeing anymore any banner. Especially when their size is 4 mb

We don't live all in a country where internet is unlimited and fast enough, also not everyone is aware that they can block something from a website.
Now if animated (or not) webp it can be nicely done for no more than 300-500 kb max without disrupting our connections, but gif... Jeezz, it a big pain in the a.... topic ;)

Our Founder (GnuTux) started a thread for banners [ viewtopic.php?f=13&t=4742&hilit=Gimp+Chat+Banners ] but since he sold the site they have not been changed. The only person who is able to change them would be the owner now - Omega - and he is hardly ever around. Wallace has been given administrator in name only not privileges.
By the way people have still been creating banners in that thread up until 2019 but they just stay there.

Nice banners guys :)

Indeed, he said that he cannot change the banners > viewtopic.php?f=13&t=4742&hilit=Gimp+Chat+Banners&start=800#p204454
Some new banners would have been nice
