how do you like these fungi?

I think they mostly live on dead wood.

Those are bracket fungi, polypore.
"Polypores and their relatives corticioid fungi are the most important agents of wood decay."

I like how this looks!

Laetiporus sulphureus was something I've never heard of. I don't think it grows over here. There are several of those kinds of mushrooms growing on trees in the forests, but I've never heard of any that would be edible:

Interesting. You learn something new every day. :)

We have what is known as "fnöskticka" (tinder fungus), but last I heard is was pretty rare. Apparently it doesn't like modern forestry.

I was exercising outside and met this fungus fellow.
Am pretty sure it's Boletaceae, maybe Leccinum holopus or Leccinum scabrum but I don't know the edible fungi as well as the toxic ones.

Qruqs, We don't either have Laetiporus sulphureus here in Finland. I just liked how it looks.
The flora and fauna of Sweden and Finland are almost identical.

Yes, that's true, very similar.

I think you're on to something:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leccinum_scabrum

I've dined on similar specimens several times, and I'm still here. :)

In Sweden there is only one poisonous boletus variety, "djävulssopp" (Satan's boletus) but it only grows on the island of Gotland and a few more places: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rubroboletus_satanas

I know you are not a troll sallyanne, I was just joking. Yes, I have mycophobia. I am fine with champinion and portabellos because I have eaten those since childhood but since my phobia kicked in, I cannot look at other fungi or mold.

Heard that there's nothing worse than a bad trip. Never did this myself. Thought about doing the Ayahuasca thing a few years back, but figure best to leave such things to others. lol
