I'm so happy you posted my all time favorite picture of one of your flowers. The white azalea with the hole chewed in it, pollen smeared across it and that bug. I recall a discussion we had about that bug. Brings back a lot of memories.

This daylily is probably my favorite flower and it's in bloom right now.

There is a massive tie for second place. So in alphabetical order:

Bee Balm, a native wildflower.
Image

Bull Thistle, an obnoxious weed.
Image

Butterfly Weed, not a weed despite the name. The Monarch butterflies like it better than milkweed.
Image

Gaillardia, also known as Indian Blanket.
Image

Ox-Eye Daisy, a native wildflower.
Image

Purple Coneflower, a domestic version of the native prairie flower.
Image

And one of my favorite shots, fescue, a field grass.
Image

I've got lots of others, but those are my favorites.

lol, we live in the land of bull thistle...they are everywhere! And I"m glad you posted the bee balm. It grows all around here and I have always wondered what it was.
