I think the purple ones are Columbine, by the looks of the seedpods. The come in several colors. Here are a couple of our new roses...I hope they survive, we don't have much luck with Tea Roses.

Now that I see them right side up, you are right Kevin. I also have them, but here they are called Columbine. Mine won't be out for 2 or 3 weeks yet.

Molly - The one on the top left of Kevin's post, that's Columbine too? Never seen one like that. Love to know what the specific name is so I could track it down and get some. Quite striking just as a specimin plant.

Kevin is correct. I never knew any other name except Columbine. I had no idea there were so many varieties. I googled it up and I think this is the same as the one in Cecelia's pic.

All plants have more than one name. the latin name, Aquilegia (Columbine; from Latin columba "dove")
