Very nice, they have a very nice contrast against the green.

I, unfortunately, also found something hidden at the edge of the woods...poison ivy. Thank goodness for super strength Ivy Dry!

RobA, those are fantastic, That is some camera you have.

A bit heavy on the post-processing perhaps? The red channel histogram is full-tilt on the right (this is one reason for the strange texture of the petals, the shadows make the color shift).

I did that edit by eye on a notebook with a poor LCD - and still can't see any visible quantization.

Here is another go with a bit more attention to the histogram, maxing without cropping and the tiniest S curve correction:
