This is another common thread I see, and it's interesting to see what setups people have.

This is mine. You can't tell from here, but the desk is an old door I've carried around since college. It makes a nice desk (the doorknob hole is great for routing wires through). I built the drawing table out of scraps I found lying around a house I used to rent, before buying this one. Sadly, the door is falling apart. It's been with me through three different states, on opposite sides of the country. I might have to go buy a real desk.

My wife teases me about having so many screens, but I do use them all! I do a lot of typesetting with LaTeX, so already two screens are used up by the input and output. Then there's whatever I'm writing about (another screen for Mathematica or some other program output). I do miss, though, my CRT screen for digital artwork. But both were growing very dim, and I couldn't justify buying a new one.

I like the multiple monitor setup. What kind of video card are you using to drive the 4 LCD screens?

The shelf is empty because I'm currently painting it.

OK, how did you get on the ceiling to take this pic? My desk for the laptop is merely the end of the kitchen counter...next to the George Forman grill and the condiment rack, lol. Now you all make me want to fix up a better place, although this seems to work well for snacksing and tv viewing while playing online.

I stood on a chair (you can just see it on the bottom of the picture) and I've got a 10-24mm zoom lens.

could have used a tall tripod, and a remote control (sorry don't know the camera term) and taken it that way, still just such a cool angle

Interesting angle! Reminds me of the angles used in the old Alone in the Dark game.

I built this desk in 1990, the desktop is 8'x3' and the sidebar is 4'x3', oak and cabinet-grade oak veneer plywood. It is modular and can be configured with the sidebar on either side. The modular construction also makes it easier to move and I've moved twice since I built it. It was one of my last big fine furniture projects.

That's pretty impressive. I always wanted to build some good furniture, but I don't have the time to learn how to do it properly currently. My wife and I have a three-car garage, but only one car between us... so there would be plenty of room for a good workshop.

Well my room is pretty much empty, and my desk is in my room. I'm actually giving my sister a lot of the crap I don't use. Once her room is done she'll get my TV (hardly seen in pic), digital converter box, vhs player, dvd home theater system, and well with my computer, ps3, and netflix I don't need all that stuff. This way I save space, and have more room for repairing computers, designing, working out, or whatever I feel like doing lol

I love the 4 monitor setup as well, merrak.
