Anywhere have any experience with MicroCenter?

I'm looking to get a new PC and probably build it myself and from what I can see, I think it'll be worth the 20 minute drive from my house to get there.

Anyone had any bad experiences with them?

Been drooling about some of the stuff for a day or two :geek

Never heard of them. I found their website MicroCenter. Looks like a Fry's Electronics although Fry's has a whole host more then what they carry. They're here --> Fry's Electronics

I'm lucky in a sense that the Tiger warehouse is in Louisville so if I order it today before business ends it's usually here the next day!

But yeah .. it's cool you can roll into a store and buy components on the whim! There is were Best Buy can't compete. I loathe Best Buy!!!!

Good luck! And .. if you're feeling generous you can buy me a 2TB External HDD! :hehe I want one for xmas but that's gonna be a fat chance! I gotta better chance of getting four flat tires! :gaah

I agree with Mr. Biggz. Microcenter is ok but a bit pricey. Fry's has been my mainstay for several years now. Just steer clear of some of their so-called "refrubished" items and/or components. Lots of info on the net about complaints in that area. Otherwise I have nothing but good things to say about Fry's.

Drac, there's a Fry's store about 4 miles from me! Talk about a kid in a candy store! I drool when I go in and cry coming out. I need anti-depression meds after going to that store. So so sad!

There isn't a Frys anywhere near me. Which sorda suprises me, seeing as how I live in the Heart of Automation Alley (Michigan's Silicon Valley)
