Hey guys, I was outside last night. In case you aren't aware, I live in northeastern Ohio, and it's beginning to get pretty cold in the mornings and at night. I was wearing gloves and realized that while wearing gloves my phone was pretty much a brick because I couldn't touch anything on the screen. (I am an iPhone user.)

This sparked my interest, and gave me a great idea for a stocking stuffer. I went ahead and posted a lens about it. They're special-made gloves for touch screen smartphones.

I've seen Isotoner gloves that have the little nubs on the end but I have to imagine those only work with reactive screen. iPhones are captive screens which use the electrical power from your finger.

Those iPhone gloves must have some sort of conductive material in them. Interesting!

I don't know what the android phone use for screen reactive or captive. I like captive better. People like me who have tree trunks for finger can use just about anything on the screen! :)

I wish I could find a 2TB external hard drive in my stocking. Alas, no stocking, no luck and not a chance! Did I mention I really hate xmas?!

Haha, you never mentioned that - but now we know!

I got a steal on a 2T external from a lady in San Francisco. She had ordered it, and it wasn't what she expected, so she resold it on Ebay for almost half what it cost new. It wasn't opened, and in it's original packaging.

I realize I am off-topic, but when it arrived, I immediately saw why she resold it. It's fairly big. I'm guessing she was expecting one of the pocket sized drives and saw this monster (slightly bigger than an actual hard drive with case) and went whoa! The product images on the Seagate website can be very misleading anyway.

I am going to check out the gloves, though.

We sell those gloves at our store...the fingertip has some sort of different fabric on the tip, it could be some kind of conductive threads in the material.

@mahvin I never, ever, ever, ever get that lucky. Not even on a good day.

@2-ton that's what I kinda figured. My fellow co-worker and I were discussing those gloves and we both said it had to have some conductive material in them. I was hoping to watch evey fumble around with their phones in the cold, drop them in the slush. I, would be laughing very hard! It'd probably be more of an evil cackle!
