Just a easier read suggestion, try placing only a snippet of the post on the front page. It makes it easier to use, and you don't have to scroll for a long time to get to the next one. Just a thought, but I do love the layout and scheme of the site Rod!

If you mean adding a jump on the front page, I agree.
Although for the main tutorial usability studies show, "scrolling beats paging".

This is what I got so far Rod with a lot of struggling.
In the second one, instead of doing the layer mode to overlay, I used a 12 blur radius gaussian blur on the white hi-lite. and a 6 radius on the shadow layer.
