I tried it and got the same as Rich, I wonder if country has anything to do with it I'm from the uk.

Yes, I see this too.

This does unfortunately not look like GimpTalk's previous server hickups, haven't seen this before. And whereas going to the forum says that "it's under maintenance" signed "GimpTalk Staff", I/we have not been informed of any server maintenance beforehand.

I have mailed the server owners (known to the GT community as the "Ali's"). But at this point, GT staffers can't do much more than wait with the rest of you. Hopefully GT will be back soon.

Looks like GIMPTalk got hacked again; we do have a thread for GIMPTalk, but it's really getting too big to open yet again, so why not start a new thread. This is what GIMPTalk shows for me now.

Hacked? Do you have any actual proof of this being the case?

GT got defaced once as far as I know, then it was quite clear what was going on. Other downtimes over the years have had to do with a shaky server.

No I don't Griatch, but I have no other explanation why they have such repeated issues not to mention spam unless such a situation happened. At least they are trying to fix the issue so they appear to be fixing the issue again quickly which is good (I remember a little while back that it too days before addressing the issue and weeks before the site came back up again). Again, not sure what situation caused this problem Griatch; OK; it could have been a glitch too of course. Hopefully the site has a good backup situation in place and will be up shortly.

It looks like their website hosting account was suspended. A host will suspend an account for non-payment and several other reasons, such as using too many server resources, content violations or spamming.

The site's IP can be traced to Netelligent Hosting Services, located in Canada.

1. Status: Locked (Whois)
2. This domain is not registered (Domain Hosting report)

Although I also see,
